Petrochemical Sales Engineer

We are Mehregan Company. A foreign owned chemical distribution company based in Teheran. Currently we are looking for a Petrochemical Sales Engineer to join our ranks.

In this role you will maintain relationships with technical and commercial departments of petrochemical companies in Iran. You will regularly visit these customers and ensure our inclusion or continuation in their vendor lists.

You will ensure our timely awareness of tenders and our participation in them.

You will manage the customers’ requirements and the flow of documents and communication. You will communicate with the customer during execution of transactions concerning contracting, payments, inspections, logistics and deliveries including any problems or additional opportunities that may occur.

You will engage and cooperate with other local and international partners to ensure our success and protect our interest. You will maintain and expand our network in the sector at events, fairs, conferences and any other opportunity.

You will keep our CRM System up to date to cooperate with our foreign suppliers and team members.

This is you

  • You have a BSc/MSc in Chemistry, (Petro)chemical and/or Polymer Engineering;
  • You have at least 5 years’ sales experience in this industry; and 5-10 years general experience in this sector;
  • You already have a sustainable commercial network in the petrochemical sector;
  • You are a proactive relationship builder and always are looking for opportunities to create value for the customers;
  • You have strong social skills, are a strong observer and a keen listener;
  • You have a talent for retrieving information and are well-versed in digital collaboration tools;
  • You are an experienced negotiator with a good eye for cross-selling;
  • You ensure all details are well contracted and expectations of all parties are managed;
  • You are fluent in Farsi and English (written and spoken), other languages are a plus; 
  • You can manage deadlines and are able to multitask;
  • You have a confident and strong personality and are a good team player;
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
  • You have experience with CRM tools. Zoho is a plus;
  • You are able and willing to travel to meet customers;
  • You live in Tehran.

  • Fulltime employment;
  • A 6 month contract, extendable to long term with good performance;
  • Base salary to be determined by knowledge, experience and network;
  • Excellent sales commission based on transaction size and profitability;
  • Extra’s to be determined based on requirements;
  • Possibility to partially work from home.
